About the Program:
The Global Launch Program at 500 Global is designed to facilitate international expansion for startups by connecting them to key market gateways. This program enables startups to validate their target geographical hubs, land successfully, and expand their operations. As part of this initiative, we teach startups the frameworks and methodologies to set their businesses up for global market expansion. Part of this program will be held in person in San Francisco.
What You Will Do:
As a Program Manager- United States, you will be responsible for startup management, and program coordination in the San Francisco hub. This role requires 3 years of relevant experience in startup or innovation programs and/or events management.
Do note that this is a 5 month contract role.
Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Day-to-Day Program Coordination: Manage the daily operations and logistics of the Global Launch Program in the United States, ensuring smooth execution of all activities and initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for local ecosystem stakeholders, including startups, mentors, and collaborators.
- Program Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the Global Launch Program, leveraging insights from the local ecosystem to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
- Event Management: Organize and execute activities and training workshops aimed at supporting startups and fostering innovation.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and initiatives.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in startup or innovation programs, events management, or related fields.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully coordinating and managing programs or projects, preferably within the startup ecosystem.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of the U.S. startup ecosystem and a passion for supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Based in San Francisco, ideally plugged into the startup ecosystem, with an existing network of the community.
- Fluency in English is required, with an ability to communicate in Korean preferred.
