Blue Fever is currently a digital ‘big sis’ who text messages with teen women to help them discover what they need online based on how they feel. We are building a mobile app where millions of teen girls will express themselves and safe, supportive responses from other people will “magically” reply! We have already developed a proven empathetic AI recommendation model via text message that hundreds of thousands of teen girls have validated.

We are seeking a data analyst intern who loves analyzing and interpreting different demographic and psychographic information, user behavior, and more! Your work will aid and improve product and marketing efforts for not only the current product but also aid in building the future app.

Job Requirements:

  • Evaluate the overall performance and health of Blue Fever product, website, etc.
  • Passion for tech and startup environment, with a vision in Blue Fever’s success
  • Collect + analyze data using tools like BigQuery, Google Analytics, Facebook, Bitly, GA for Firebase, Amplitude, App Store Analytics, etc. Help aggregate, organize and visualize data
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to evaluate KPIs and analytics strategy for existing and new product
  • Support in establishing benchmarks and KPIs for the future app
  • Create and maintain custom, recurring analytics reports delivering insights on acquisitions, user behavior (in the product), website performance, etc.
  • Present your findings and craft a story for the teams to help support decision-making
  • Troubleshoot data issues related to tracking and reporting
  • Help establish standards and processes to ensure the integrity of Blue Fever’s data
  • Provide insights on ad hoc reporting needs (e.g. user journey, user behavior in the product, cohorting, and retention, and much more!)

About You:

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results, and critical outcomes
  • Experience or willing to learn analytics tools (Google Analytics, Bitly, Amplitude, GA for Firebase, App Store Analytics, Social Media tools)
  • Experience with database tools (BigQuery, MySQL)
  • Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Jupyter, Google Data Studio, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL, R and/or Python
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, etc. is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Available for fall with an estimated start date of 8/17
