Co-founded by two Stanford/Wharton alums, FounderNest is a SaaS company in stealth mode that uses AI to help innovative corporations (Innovation, CVC, and Corp Dev / M&A teams) identify their next partnership, investment, or acquisition target - before their competition. Our core technology is built on real-time analytics running on private and public company data. This fuels our Natural Language Processing AI with +60M companies and +1.2B aggregated data points, allowing us to minimize noise and find 3-5x more companies relative to alternatives.

👩🏼‍🎨 What you will do

If you are passionate about Natural Language Processing (NLP) and ready to contribute to cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of AI, this is your dream position!

• You will be responsible for leveraging NLP techniques to solve complex problems, training and fine-tuning language models including LLMs used to perform tasks such as semantic search, question answering and classification, extracting relevant information from unstructured text data to provide valuable insights to our users. You'll play a critical role in enhancing model performance and accuracy.
• Additionally, you will continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends and evaluate opportunities to improve our stack, tools, architecture or processes.
• You will also participate in identifying and exploring new data sources that could enhance existing datasets.
• Finally you will assist with data analytics to generate and communicate actionable insights from data, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, data-driven recommendations.

🎯 What you will bring

• You have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in data science, with a focus on NLP or machine learning working with transformer-based models.
• You are an autonomous and fast learner, always eager to expand your knowledge and skill set. Your proactive nature drives you to stay ahead of industry trends.
• You thrive in a team environment, working seamlessly with other highly talented individuals from diverse backgrounds. You have a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, comfortable proposing technical solutions and skilled at communicating effectively complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, version control and working with databases is crucial.
• Professional proficiency in English.

🏆 Bonus Points

• Experience using LLMs and their applications in NLP tasks.
• Experience building models for deployment as APIs or production-level code development including unit testing and peer code reviews.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Familiarity with data versioning control systems like DVC.
• Experience with platforms for managing ML workflows.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish.

💰 Compensation & Perks

• You will have a full-time contract (i.e. no freelance work).
