We are seeking an onsite Associate Systems Administrator to support the technology environment at our Philadelphia headquarters. This role partners closely with the Senior Systems Administrator to maintain reliable, secure, and well-functioning office infrastructure. The position focuses on hands-on implementation and operational support of workplace systems — including office hardware, endpoint standards, and infrastructure changes — while coordinating vendors, equipment lifecycle, and technical documentation. The Associate Systems Administrator reports to the Director of IT Applications and works collaboratively with the Infrastructure and Systems Support Engineering teams to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and projects affecting the office environment are executed successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site technical partner to the Senior Systems Administrator for the Philadelphia headquarters environment.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of office infrastructure including network equipment, wireless access points, conference room technology, and shared systems.
- Perform hands-on work for infrastructure projects such as equipment installations, hardware replacements, patching activities, and system upgrades.
- Support maintenance windows and after-hours change activities when required.
- Provide physical access and coordination for vendors, cabling providers, and service technicians.
- Monitor the health of office systems and escalate issues to the Senior Systems Administrator and Infrastructure team as needed.
- Assist with workstation build standards, imaging processes, and endpoint configuration standards.
- Manage device inventory, asset tagging, and hardware lifecycle tracking.
- Prepare, stage, and replace employee equipment as part of refresh cycles and infrastructure changes.
- Assist with endpoint management platforms and device compliance enforcement.
- Support security initiatives including device hardening, MFA rollout assistance, and remediation activities.
- Maintain office IT storage areas, spare equipment inventory, and hardware organization.
- Coordinate hardware procurement and replacement equipment ordering.
- Track warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor renewals.
- Maintain virtual environment including VMware
- Maintain accurate documentation of office systems, network layouts, and standard operating procedures.
- Create and update internal technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate and follow up on operational tasks related to infrastructure and facilities technology.
- Partner with the Systems Support Engineering team for escalations that require physical presence or hands-on work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
- 2–5 years of IT experience in systems support, desktop engineering, or junior systems administration.
- Experience working with corporate workstation environments (Windows and/or macOS).
- Familiarity with identity platforms such as Active Directory, Azure AD, or Okta.
- Basic networking knowledge including switches, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Experience working with endpoint management or device deployment tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite 4x per week in the Philadelphia office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting office network infrastructure or structured cabling.
- Familiarity with MDM tools (Intune, Jamf, Kandji, or similar).
- Experience assisting with patching, upgrades, or system rollouts.
- Experience working with security or compliance initiatives.
- Experience documenting technical processes and maintaining system documentation.
- Experience with maintaining Pure storage
