About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead with a backend focus who has built complex and innovative products from the ground up, thrives on solving complex challenges, and is passionate about creating scalable, robust systems. In this leadership role, you will lead the development of a brand-new AI-powered product, overseeing a talented team of engineers and working closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to deliver innovative solutions that impact users' lives.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
- Lead a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and innovative engineering culture.
- Take ownership of designing and building a product from 0 to 1, making critical technical decisions from the ground up.
- Establish engineering best practices, ensuring long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, to align on goals and priorities.
Product Development & Innovation
- Design and implement a robust and scalable system, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Work closely with product and design teams to translate vision into a high-quality, technically sound product.
- Explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
Hands-On Engineering
- Drive full-stack development, leading backend and frontend implementations as needed.
- Conduct deep technical research to identify and implement the best solutions for performance, security, and reliability.
Our Technology Stack:Node.js, React Native, Redux, ReactJS, Scala, Play, Microservices, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and more.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of management experience leading engineering teams and driving technical initiatives.
- Backend Development: 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a focus on backend development.
- Node.js Expertise: Strong proficiency in Node.js is a must.
- System Design: Proven experience in designing and maintaining complex, scalable systems.
- Database Knowledge: Expertise in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Frontend Contribution: Experience with ReactJS or React Native is a plus.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering user-centric solutions.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
