About the Role

This position is a subject matter expert on broad technologies and sets the architectural standard for the workgroup. The position executes corporate tactical technology strategy on large multifunctional development activities, solves complex technical problems, writes complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. This position is expected to be seen as a “go to” person across the division for a set of technologies.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with customers and end-users, and providing design input across a product
• Performing reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed
• Writing advanced complex code for computer systems and serving as a senior source of expertise on coding and technical issues
• Managing system and user-acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions
• Recommending technical strategy and direction across the functional area, and participating in the development and evolution of architecture
• Mentoring Lead Software Developers in development methodologies and optimization techniques

Requirements

• Have a BS degree in Engineering_ Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 12+ years of Software Engineering experience

• · Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience

• · Have substantial Software Development experience, with an advanced knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall

• · Be an expert in development languages, including JAVA_J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C_C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net

• · Have an excellent understanding of data modeling principles, data manipulation languages, and storage systems

• · Have experience in partnering with and leading internal and external technology resources to solve business needs

• · Have excellent knowledge of test-driven development and maintenance, including techniques for applying best practices

• · Have great problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement effective solutions

• · Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, and be able to delegate effectively
