About the Company:
At Cirium, we aim to enhance the aviation industry through innovative analytics. We lead in aviation data, helping to understand the past, inform the present, and predict the future of global aviation. With over 300 terabytes of data from more than 2,000 sources, we continuously innovate to drive transformative behaviours across the industry.
Propulsion Labs, the innovation arm of Cirium, focuses on developing new products, data, and tools to drive customer value. Our projects progress through three phases: Explore (1-2 people, 2-week deliverables), Discover (3-5 people, 1 month), and Grow (5+ people, 2 months). We measure success by quality demonstrations to customers, project progress, and collaboration.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, you will manage a diverse team of technical, product, and data employees in Propulsion Labs. Starting with up to 8 direct reports, this may grow to 15 within the first year. These global employees self-organize into projects, contribute technically, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
As a people manager, your focus will be on the management and development of employees. You will communicate extensively with your team to understand their performance, help shape their growth, remove roadblocks, and manage workloads. Your goal is to support each person to contribute to their best ability, grow their skills, and create an environment for continuous improvement and innovation.
