About the Role:

The VP of Product Strategy & Innovation is responsible for harnessing the strategic vision and roadmap for the LexisNexis Risk Healthcare suite of products, ensuring that they align with the overall business objectives and customer needs. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reporting directly to the President & General Manager, this leader will focus on Vision, Execution and Culture.

Responsibilities:

  • The Product Strategy leader must be able to inspire and motivate the organization to get everyone moving in the same direction. This is what drives and sustains alignment.
  • The Product Strategy leader must be able to execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively. The person certainly should be an expert on modern forms of product planning, but execution also means that they know how to work effectively as part of our organization with respect to stakeholder management and evangelism. This includes but is not limited to confidently aligning strategy into technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s overall goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize product initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop and implement GTM strategies and execution across multiple product lines.
  • Foster an environment that leverages insights to drive product investments, feature prioritization, and customer-centric decision making.
  • Make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market.
  • Define, monitor, and track KPIs and develop concrete points of view on insights to present to leadership and the organization as a whole.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure alignment and shared objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing strategic product insights and recommendations.
  • Become the ‘heat-shield’ for escalations freeing up the product teams to focus on the day-to-day decisions that maintain momentum.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product strategy team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
  • Identify and develop talent, ensuring the team has the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives.
  • Evangelize a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the product function.

Preferred Skills and Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, or related roles in healthcare, life sciences, or technology sectors with 5+ years of experience leading a Product organization.
  • Proven experience is achieving product outcomes leading to successful business performance: measured in product revenue, product margin and product retention rates.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Track record of identifying and cultivating talent, working continuously to address their weaknesses and exploit their strengths.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with customers, partners, and other external stakeholders at various hierarchy levels, from C-level executives to technical individuals.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies and technology best practices
  • Deep understanding of healthcare market trends, clinical trials, or life sciences is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred
