About the role
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and superior performance of our software applications. Your expertise in software testing methodologies and tools will be critical in identifying and resolving any issues early on, ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality. By conducting comprehensive test plans, designing effective test cases, and leveraging automation frameworks, you will contribute significantly to the successful delivery of high-quality software products. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, ensuring standardized and efficient testing processes
- Develop and execute test cases and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing scenarios conduct thorough manual testing, including exploratory testing, to identify potential issues and validate software functionality
- Perform database testing using SQL queries and tools like SQL Server to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Fiddler and Postman to validate API functionality and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test strategies
- Analyze test results, report and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the testing process
- Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
Requirements:
- Strong experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver and creating test automation frameworks
- Proficiency in C# programming language
- Familiarity with .NET Core and SOAP/REST
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server for database testing
- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Fiddler and Postman
- Experience with manual testing techniques, including exploratory testing and test case design
- Ability to design comprehensive test strategies and ensure effective test coverage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, following Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 for frontend testing
- Knowledge of mobile testing and experience testing on different mobile devices
- Understanding of performance and security testing principles and relevant tools
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for test case management and defect tracking
- Experience with automated build and continuous integration tools such as TeamCity
