The Senior Project Manager II will own multiple complex projects and/or may be responsible for a portfolio of related projects. He/She will drive their assigned projects independently and may informally lead others on the team working on related or sub projects to their portfolio of projects. They will be the foremost expert on their project/portfolio progress, issues, and will be able to represent their projects in written, verbal, and other mediums to leadership and their peers as needed. They will independently steer their projects towards desired outcomes and will heavily influence their project teams on prioritization and resource allocation. Strong communication and organization skills are required to manage multiple project and resources in order to execute and deliver on business and project goals.
He/She will be a source of constant process improvement, and will not only surface ideas for improvement, but lead change management across the entire team/organization.
He/she will formally mentor/coach more junior PMs, informally lead cross-functional team members and may be asked to interview and recruit new PM candidates.
