About the Role
As a Project Manager overseeing the entire portfolio, you will ensure alignment with company objectives by managing the portfolio's size, scalability, and performance. You'll collaborate with business leaders to define goals, track project performance, and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Additionally, you'll drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes, ensuring robust governance and compliance with industry best practices.
This position will be hybrid in Alpharetta, GA – 3x a week
Responsibilities
Manage a business portfolio to ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
Provide business leaders with the right information to assess and prioritize projects that align with strategic goals.
Manage the size and scalability of the portfolio to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to define portfolio goals and success criteria.
Track and analyze the performance of projects within the portfolio, making adjustments as needed.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with business initiatives.
Monitor spending across the portfolio. Provide insights and recommendations to maintain financial control and support strategic decision-making.
Prepare and present reports on portfolio performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.
Ensure robust internal governance by overseeing the implementation and adherence to standardized processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms. Maintain compliance with internal policies and industry best practices to support transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or a related field.
Proven track record of managing large and complex portfolios.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS in Finance)
PMP (Project Management Professional) is required.
PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to implement standardized processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.

Demonstrated skills in identifying and mitigating risks, monitoring spending, and providing strategic insights for financial control. Familiarity with risk management frameworks and financial analysis tools is preferred.
Proficiency in using project management software and reporting tools is beneficial.
Excellent ability to collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to define goals, track project performance, and present comprehensively.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Prince 2, PMP, or Agile) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.
