About the Role
Plans, monitors and manages internal and external projects from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project/Program. Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Recognized expert within the function. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Trains/mentors junior staff.
This position will be hybrid in Alpharetta, GA. Candidates will need to be available to interview onsite.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the leadership of projects that are cross functional and have a high degree of complexity.
Responsible for delivery of assigned projects within acceptable timeframes and quality standards.
Fully knowledgeable of the System Development Life Cycle and Project Lifecycle processes (Agile, Waterfall).
Responsible for planning, managing, and executing high-impact projects.
The Senior Project Manager should have the ability to handle couple of complex projects running concurrently.
Responsible for conducting periodic status reviews and reporting back to stakeholder groups, steering committees, etc.
Accountabilities
Manage full end to end delivery of assigned project(s), people and process. Develop and manage project plan as required.
Deliver assigned projects on schedule aligned with the critical needs of the business vertical.
Proficient in all aspects, identifying, analyzing, tracking and monitoring, of the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Construct the Work Breakdown Structure for the project; demonstrate proficiency in using project management software tools. Documents the necessary project artifacts, such as schedules and work plans, estimates, issues tracking and status reporting, to manage the project lifecycle.
Manage all relationships necessary for a successful project team.
Coordinates and facilitates project meetings and negotiates with staffing managers for project resources and other project needs.
Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project and/or program schedule.
Identify and make recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
Execute according to GTM and SOX guidelines if applicable.
As needed, act as change agent to foster a customer-centric, quality-oriented culture and drive measurable business improvements.
Provide expertise and share best practices regarding assigned tools & methodologies, project management and team leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
At least 7 years of project management experience, including Agile projects execution
PMI certification preferred. Agile Certification (PMII-ACP or SAFe) preferred. Enterprise Change Management certifications preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across a highly matrixed organization, interacting, influencing, negotiating effectively with all levels of leadership and peers
Successfully demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, with frequent and substantial priority changes, challenging timelines and major resource constraints
Ability to identify and scope process improvement opportunities through financial, statistical and logic-based analysis.
