About the Role
We’re looking for a Frontend Developer who is excited to build intuitive, high-performing, and visually engaging user interfaces across a variety of applications. You’ll work with modern JavaScript frameworks like Next.js and React, and also support applications built with PHP (Zend Framework/Laminas) and legacy technologies such as Backbone.js.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving diverse technical challenges, values collaboration, and is passionate about creating inclusive and accessible digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain responsive, scalable user interfaces using Next.js, React, and other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and backend developers to bring design mockups and user stories to life.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.
Ensure applications perform well across different devices and browsers.
Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peers.
Support and enhance existing applications, including those built with PHP and legacy frameworks like Backbone.js.
Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues effectively.
Stay informed about emerging frontend technologies and advocate for their thoughtful adoption.
Engage in agile development practices such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Suggest improvements to development processes and tools.
Requirement:
Approximately 5 years of experience in frontend development (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
Hands-on experience with React.js, and component-based architecture.
Familiarity with state management tools like Redux or React Context API.
Comfortable using version control systems like Git.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Clear and respectful communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Good to have:
Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js.
Familiarity with PHP, Zend Framework, or Laminas.
Exposure to legacy frameworks like Backbone.js.
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
