About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Application Packaging Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on automating, designing, and managing application packaging and deployment processes across Windows and macOS environments. You’ll work closely with internal teams, business users, and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate installation, configuration, updates, patches, fixes, and removal of applications.
• Design, develop, and manage application packaging projects.
• Create and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for packaging and deployment.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and tailor deployment experiences.
• Diagnose and resolve deployment issues.
• Prioritize requests for adding, updating, or removing applications in Intune/Jamf.
• Partner with internal software engineering and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support application packaging needs.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of processes and best practices.
• Conduct application compatibility testing and software distribution.
• Document known issues, solutions, and incident reports to support continuous improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application packaging.
• Support documentation efforts including requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information technology.
• 3+ years of experience in application packaging and compatibility testing.
• Familiarity with packaging tools such as InstallShield, Windows Installer (MSI, MST), AdminStudio, Advanced Installer, App-V Sequencer.
• Experience with Intune and Jamf.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell; familiarity with VBScript, Bash, Python is a plus.
• Understanding of configuration profiles and application reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience managing requests, incidents, changes, and problem records.
• Comfortable preparing documentation and troubleshooting application installations.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• A degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is welcome.
