About the Team
The Public Safety Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is comprised of former law enforcement experts, sworn and civilian, who leverage the full suite of LexisNexis solutions and data offerings to provide real-time investigative insight for LexisNexis customers. The Public Safety Special Investigative Unit (SIU) also serves to work with the sales team by analyzing data and monitoring production, building best practices, procedures, and supporting functions required to maintain the quality and timely delivery of information. The SIU team aids law enforcement during critical incidents and major investigations and is available to provide support remotely or on-site, when applicable.

About the Role
This position exists to provide investigative support to a dedicated federal government customer in the role of Sr. Investigative Analyst. The analyst will provide case assistance and enhance investigations in the evaluation of threats, critical incidents, and criminal research. The analyst will use fact-finding methods and analysis to collect information to support investigations. They will research and gather information, screen all sources of information obtained, conduct further queries, and access and summarize evaluated and previously unevaluated information. This analyst will bridge the gap between customer requirements and production outcome as a subject matter expert on LexisNexis Risk Solutions within the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

This is a remote/ home-based position, and periodic travel will occur.

Responsibilities

  • Support the customer's mission by providing analytical and investigative awareness that will enable the federal government customer with the information that will assist in the evaluation of threats, critical incidents, and criminal research

  • Collect, process, and evaluate information to identify potential threats, risks, and emerging threats affecting the customer. Expected to continuously monitor methodologies and develop keyword/alert frameworks to improve collection efficiency. Ability to translate and assess foreign language materials

  • Conduct daily monitoring of the national and global open-source environment (social media, news, blogs, dark web, etc.). Will be expected to support crisis response by delivering real-time OSINT intelligence updates during incidents, and keep up to date with emerging risks

  • Providing on-site/remote analytic support in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deliver analytic products and provide appropriate briefing and visualizations for the customer that capture key aspects of analytic findings and generate actionable leads and insights

  • Produce timely and accurate intelligence reports, threat assessments, and briefings tailored for executive leadership and operational teams

  • Assist with ongoing security risk assessments of events and provide analysis via a professional work product

  • Process, integrate, sync, and analyze data from multiple data sources to look for and identify trends

  • Operate professionally and efficiently, often without direct supervision, while conducting high-quality analysis, data development, briefs, and reach-back support seamlessly across diverse analytic and law enforcement officials in support of a shared mission

  • Apply critical thinking to drive your data analysis in an independent and discovery environment, while working within the team setting to learn from and provide others with personal expertise

  • Must collaborate regularly with insider threat, cyber, and physical security teams to share relevant findings. Exchange information and intelligence with other governmental agencies

  • Analysis of data provided by the customer to identify crime and provide insight into crime solutions and customer workflow analysis

  • Works directly with customers to support crime solution product understanding, implementation, and best practices

  • Learn and apply industry-standard analytic software tools at an Expert level, including and not limited to Microsoft Suite of tools, ESRI ArcGIS, i2 Analysts Notebook, and proprietary LexisNexis suite of solutions

  • Maintain positive customer relationships through detailed analysis of potentially large data sets over the lifecycle of the contract

  • Other duties as assigned, but not limited to analysis of call detail record data provided by the customer, etc.

  • Represents LexisNexis Risk Solutions at customer-facing events and with customers and non-customers

  • Actively participates in product testing for tools to include the current LexisNexis suite of solutions, new products being brought to market, training content, and other materials

Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain data integrity, compliance with legal/ethical standards, and strict adherence to Board Information Security and OPSEC protocols.

  • BA or Higher

  • 4+ years of experience in Law Enforcement

  • US Citizenship required

  • Self-motivated and dynamic

  • Demonstrated competence in the application of logic to problems

  • Demonstrated competence in research and problem resolution

  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Experience in managing large customer-facing solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Suite to include Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, along with other analytical solutions

  • Experience with i2 Analyst Notebook, Power BI, and ESRI is a plus

  • Preferred experience in LexisNexis Risk Solutions

  • Ability to provide well-thought-out recommendations

  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently

  • Ability to Travel – 30%

  • Flexibility to work shifts

Physical and/or logical access to criminal justice information is an essential function of this role. The successful candidate will be required to pass both the standard company background check for all employees and an enhanced criminal background check conducted by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners conducted in compliance with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information System (“CJIS”) security policy. Employees in this role may also be subject to ongoing criminal background checks as required by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners. Candidates and/or employees who are not certified by state and local law enforcement to access criminal justice information will not be able to perform the essential functions of this role. Employees who subsequently fail to obtain or maintain CJIS compliance may be reassigned or terminated.





 


U.S. National Base Pay Range: $77,300 - $128,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.

Base Pay Range for CO is $77,300 - $128,700. Base Pay Range for IL is $81,200 - $135,200. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $85,000 - $141,600. Base Pay Range for MD is $81,200 - $135,200. Base Pay Range for NY is $85,000 - $141,600. Base Pay Range for New York City is $88,900 - $148,000. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $73,400 - $122,300. Base Pay Range for OH is $73,400 - $122,300. 



This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
