About the Role

This person will play a critical role in managing the commercial strategy for a portfolio of software and data products within the Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) vertical, reporting into the APAC Market Planning Lead. This person will work cross-functionally across Product, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Finance to manage near- and longer-term strategic product initiatives The person will need to keep current with FCC compliance requirements, industry trends, and compliance practices across key regions globally.

This position is Hybrid (Office/WFH) with occasional travel, but will need to work with colleagues across the globe. To best serve our key markets, preferred locations are Singapore, Shanghai or Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Asia-Pacific market strategies for FCC products and services.

  • Represent the business at external events, fostering relationships and identifying new opportunities.

  • Analyze market data, regulatory changes, and technology trends to inform strategy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Professional Services and Finance to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Deliver presentations and thought leadership at senior executive and industry levels.

  • Work closely with Product and Data teams to develop Commercial and Product strategies, roadmaps and associated business cases for capital investments

  • Drive strong growth for specific screening products whilst ensuring a focus on customer experience.

  • Influence strategic pricing and other Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives that generate incremental value for the business and our customers

  • Assess M&A or partnership opportunities in line with global FCC and business services strategy

  • Educate and motivate Direct and Alliance sales teams on FCC solutions, emphasizing consultative selling to align with customer processes, needs and market trends.

  • Partner closely with Marketing to ensure screening products are well positioned, heightening brand awareness and trust, and drive qualified leads to Sales.

  • Partner with Professional Services to ensure their plans are aligned and reflective of the product portfolio screening strategy.

  • Provide insight on competitive landscape, market sizing, industry/regulatory trends and market drivers to inform strategy and improve knowledge sharing across the organization.

  • Interact with clients (both internal and external) to craft solutions that meet client needs, thereby increasing revenue and customer satisfaction.

  • Clearly communicate global and regional FCC strategy to regions and functions as needed.

  • Represent the FCC business and company at internal/external events and conferences, interact with analyst firms and provide thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Cross-functional leadership and the ability to work effectively with key partners across a large, global and matrixed organization

  • Fluent or strong speaking proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, high level of comfort with creative problem-solving

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; public-speaking experience is a plus

  • Strong presentation skills; comfortable with presenting externally and to senior leadership

  • Domain expertise in AML, Sanctions, KYC, Business Risk is preferred

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience, with one or multiple of the following backgrounds:
    - Management consulting, commercial strategy, product strategy or strategic planning roles
    - Risk and Compliance functions dealing with or overseeing customer or third-party risk
    - B2B Technology vendor providing complex Software and/or Data products

  • Business degree (BBA/MBA) or engineering background is preferred
