As a Site Reliability Engineer Co-op, you will help us continue running our applications smoothly as our business scales. What you'll do as a Site Reliability Engineer Co-op:
Learn to create self-provisioning infrastructure using tools like Chef, Terraform, AWS, VMWare, and Kubernetes
Define key metrics and SLAs for new and existing web services created to support our rapid traffic growth
Learn how to prepare and scale our services to maintain availability during high traffic events like NFL Sundays
Help us grow by contributing to our infrastructure code and we'll help you grow with feedback from our Senior and Lead SREs
Integrate services into a continuous deployment ecosystem that allows DraftKings to operate at a massive scale
What skills you’ll bring:
Your experience with cloud environments and provisioning automation
Understanding of common scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Go). Understanding of applications written in an object-oriented language (Java, .Net, etc.)
Working knowledge of networking and web concepts and ability to debug issues down to the packets
Understanding of the Linux/Windows command line and system operations
Working knowledge of basic systems metrics like CPU, memory, and processes
